Refund policy
SLEEP TILL YOURE DEAD - RETURNS
(* Please note: We do not accept returns for the reasons listed below. If a product is returned we will issue a store credit only *)
1. All beds are fully assembled before shipping to ensure they are to my shops standards. As they are HANDMADE this does not meant they are perfect.
a. Refunds on Commenced Builds: Refunds cannot be issued once the build has begun. We order materials specifically for each project upon purchase. Requests for refunds made after 7 days of purchase will incur a 25% restocking fee.
b. Customizations and Alterations: Customized or altered designs cannot be returned under any circumstances.
c. Materials and Construction: Our designs incorporate both hardwood and Grade A plywood to balance quality and cost. Clients should inquire about our materials and methods before purchasing to avoid misunderstandings. We do not use low-grade materials like MDF / particle board / imitation woods, etc.
d. Return Circumstances: Under very rare circumstances, if a return is accepted, all costs associated with shipping the bed back to us must be covered by the client. A restocking fee of 25% will also be applied. This includes but is not limited to:
- Re-packing in the original crate (if disposed of a new crate must be assembled to our standard)
- Insurance (up to $200)
- Customs/Brokerage fees for US orders (up to $800)
- Shipping fees (upwards of $400-$1800 based on location)
We will arrange the shipment pickup and the carrier; the client is responsible for re-packing and above.
HANDMADE CHARACTERISTICS:
Our beds are handmade, not factory-produced, which means they may have minor imperfections. This is a natural part of the process and contributes to the uniqueness of each piece. The furniture industry generates significant waste from factory errors, but we minimize waste by not discarding wood for minor flaws.
Please understand that handmade items can have human errors. Do not request a refund because the bed was:
"not as described." All documentation and listings indicate that beds may look different due to the unique nature of each build and the varying batches of wood used. Communication is key-ask questions to clarify any concerns.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
If you encounter any issues with your shipment, please communicate respectfully. Abusive and rude language is highly stressful and unproductive. We strive to resolve all matters professionally and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
ADDITIONAL NOTE:
As a small batch furniture maker, I limit my intake each month to ensure reasonable lead times and allow me to work closely with each client. When a client requests a return, our shop has to make up for it from current orders. This also means my monthly income is limited. Refund requests force us to use money from existing builds to cover the costs. Over 65% of your bed's cost covers overhead expenses, making it nearly impossible to provide a full refund after shipping.
FINAL NOTES:
My small woodshop works hard to ensure client satisfaction. However, returns and refunds are financially challenging for me due to high costs. I urge clients to consider the details above before requesting a return or refund. I appreciate your support and understanding.
Again - thank you for the support & Sleep Well.
